Health Promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over, and to improve, their health.
Leadership is a vital component of the infrastructure for health promotion. Leaders in health promotion ensure the conduct of public education and communication campaigns, creating enabling environments for local action through social mobilization, generate evidence on degree of effectiveness of health.
Supporting leadership training for health promotion is the goal of ProLead - a Health Promotion LEADership and Management Development programme that focuses on applied leadership and management in health promotion intended for advocates, practitioners and partners in the health sector, government and private sector and civil society, for the promotion of health.
